When first considering taxidermy as a career, I purchased
several videos and books to help understand the art of taxidermy. These
resources don't even come close to what I learned at the Northeast Michigan
School of Wildlife Art. Ralph and his crew are not only very knowledgeable
in taxidermy, but their personalities make the classes all that more enjoyable.
The hands on experience and small class size provided me the skills and
details of taxidermy art that videos and books cannot. I was even offered
a taxidermy job before I was even completed the class. Upon finishing,
I felt confident that I had the skills, talent and knowledge to open my
own taxidermy shop. My clients appreciate the quality of mounts that I
am able to create. I owe my success and client base to Ralph for what
I learned while at his school. If anyone is serious about taxidermy, I
would strongly recommend attending this school. I am willing to answer
questions and share my own experiences while attending the school. Just
give me a call anytime at -Todd A. Nelson |

After mounting mammals and birds for 10 years I was looking to expand my business and offer fish. I read a variety of books and watched videos, but wasn't confident enough with my work to offer the service to my customers. Ralph gave me the knowledge, confidence, and support I needed to get going. Whether you are looking at taxidermy as a new career or fine-tuning your skills you can't replace the one on one attention you get from Ralph at Northeast Michigan School of Wildlife Art.
