What They Say About Us

This section contains parts of letters we have received from some of our students. Want to be a taxidermist? Do what these people did and contact us now!

"I took a class at Delta Community College before your
class. I did not feel I learned enough to be comfortable
or confident enough to mount a fish on my own. After taking
your class I mounted a forty-one inch pike by myself and
it came out beautifully...I would recommend your classes
to anyone interested in taxidermy"

"I am proud to say I was a student here. I have always
wanted to become a taxidermist and because of this
school, it became possible."

While attending The Northeast Michigan School of Wildlife Art, it all came together! The knowledge, expertise and professionalism of you and your staff, combined with the school's fine facilities, not only taught me the skills and art of Fish Taxidermy, but taught me the skills and knowledge required to operate and manage my own Fish Taxidermy business. Your help and advice did not end after graduation either. You and your staff have been available to further assist me as my career has advanced.

I would strongly recommend The Northeast Michigan School of Wildlife Art to anyone interested in Taxidermy, either as a hobby or a business. Thank you for one of the greatest experiences of my life, it has truly changed my direction for the best.

Sincerely,
Cindy LaForrest

I was a student at the Northeast Michigan School of Wildlife Art in the fall of 2000. The knowledge you learn from Ralph and Betsy in invaluable. The staff was always willing to give you a helping hand and answer all your questions in fullest detail. Another great part of the school is the full time ship that lets you see how a full time business is run and how to handle customers. Not only do you learn from these folks, you also make some good friends.

The knowledge I learned has lead me to a full time shop, and also competing at the Professional division of the Ohio Taxidermy show. I have also competed at the International level thanks to the skills learned through this course. My first two geese I had ever mounted, Ralph talked me into taking them to a competition where I took two 2nd place ribbons in the Professional division. I went from knowing nothing about the art of taxidermy, to being able to run my own business and compete in competitions at the professional division. The school also gave me the confidence to take on tasks and have a quality product when finished. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in the taxidermy field.
